BSI Slow-Cure 30 Minute Epoxy

Slow-Cure 30-Minute Epoxy is ideal for forming reinforcing fillets on joints and offers the highest strength of all our epoxies. It is waterproof and provides superior heat resistance. While it can be used for bonding applications, full strength requires an overnight cure.

Slow-Cure can be combined with fillers such as microballoons or Finish-Cure to create a putty-like consistency. Note that adding fillers may reduce the working time by approximately 25%. Bonded parts can typically be handled after 8 hours, with full strength achieved within 24 hours.

DIRECTIONS

Slow-Cure 30-Minute Epoxy is a two-part adhesive that forms high-strength bonds through a chemical reaction between the resin and hardener. Once cured, it is resistant to most chemicals.

Apply in temperatures above 21°C. Slow-Cure retains its strength across the broadest temperature range of our epoxy products.

For best adhesion, apply to clean, textured surfaces. Smooth or non-porous materials should be roughened with coarse sandpaper. Use acetone or isopropyl alcohol to remove uncured epoxy.

Slow-Cure excels in applications requiring strong, reinforced joints. It can be mixed with fillers to create a thickened consistency for gap-filling or shaping. With excellent penetration into porous surfaces, it provides lasting, waterproof bonds for high-stress environments.

Full cure occurs in 6 to 8 hours; allow 24 hours for maximum strength.
