TANNOY Dual Concentric

At the heart of the REVOLUTION XT C-GBs superb performance you will find an all-new iteration of our legendary and exclusive TANNOY Dual Concentric Driver Technology. These new 4? Dual Concentric and dual 4? bass drivers offer enhanced dispersion creating an even more uniform spread of sound around the listening environment. At the same time, the introduction of the Omnimagnet configuration allows the high frequency unit to be placed even closer to the acoustic centre of the low frequency unit, which further improves time alignment between the two drive units. These time coherent, point source, and constant directivity dispersion characteristics make the Dual Concentric design an accepted industry standard in studio monitoring. Torus Ogive Waveguide

In nature, all sounds emanate from a single point in space. By centrally-locating the high frequency unit of the Dual Concentric configuration, XT C-GB acoustically replicates the single point sound source, delivering exceptionally natural performance with an incredibly wide imaging sweet-spot. Delivery is further enhanced by the implementation of a highly-innovative Torus Ogive Waveguide, which provides a broad soundstage with remarkably focused image placement.

the crossover network employed in the REVOLUTION XT C-GB divides the frequency spectrum into 2 channels (62 Hz 2.8 kHz,

Enclosure Design

The non-parallel trapezoidal enclosure disperses internal standing waves and reflections for virtually imperceptible colouration, plus is constructed of a special medium density fibreboard that eliminates the mid-frequency ringing effects found in competing products. Additionally, XT C-GBs rock-solid reflex system boasts extensive bracing for the extreme rigidity that delivers tuneful and musically coherent low frequency performance. The rear-firing, reflex port helps to reduce room boundary effects and facilitates easy loudspeaker placement. An integral plinth allows precise levelling of the enclosure and helps to dissipate unwanted energy that might otherwise detract from REVOLUTION XT C-GBs pristine performance.
